The birthplace of rock ’n’ roll is soon to be right on the doorstep as the official Sun Records Concert Show comes to The Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock.
On Friday 19th November, the world-renowned birthplace of rock ’n’ roll, Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee, is set to bring Cannock to life as this spectacular show treats its audience to two hours of music magic.
Sun Records is esteemed for discovering the pioneers of rock ’n’ roll, including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison to name but a few.
Despite the story of Sun attracting a great amount of media attention over the years, the concert show producer Pete Tobit claims that no previous documentaries, books or even stage shows have done justice to the ground-breaking music that emanated from the acclaimed recording studio.
President of the Sun Entertainment Corporation, John Singleton notes how The Sun Records Concert is the only production officially endorsed and licensed by Sun Records. After receiving the official stamp of approval the show is now set to embark on a nationwide and international tour.
Rehearsed in an exact replica of the Sun Recording Studio, accompanied by the original musical instruments of the era with a youthful cast of musicians, the Sun Records Concert Show transports the audience right inside the studio where all the magic happened. The trailblazing Sun Studio created hits that are the very essence of rock ’n’ roll, from That’s Alright Mama to Blue Suede Shoes, these original Sun recordings are some of the distinct sounds that have crafted the music we enjoy today.
This Concert Show lets the music do all the talking as you sit back and watch the birth of rock ’n’ roll.
Sun Records, The Concert will be taking place on Friday 19th November at the Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock. Tickets are available for purchase via the Box office on 01543 578 762 or from the theatre’s website www.princeofwales.live.
